New Year, New Beginnings

Happy New Year to you all.

This month, the “Pause for Prayer” article is a condensed offering. There are three sections of scripture, including a blessing, for your own personal reflection.
The usual format will return next month.

A time for Everything –
Often we do not understand what is happening, or why. We have to trust that the Lord will reveal to us, in time, His purpose.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace, and a time to refrain,
A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.“                    Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

No matter where we are, what we are going through, God is with us.

I look to the mountains; where will my help come from?
My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let you fall; your protector is always awake.
The protector of Israel never dozes or sleeps.
The Lord will guard you; He is by your side to protect you.
The sun will not hurt you during the day, nor the moon during the night.
The Lord will protect you from all danger; He will keep you safe.
He will protect you as you come and go; now and forever.                Psalm 121

May the coming year be joyful, peaceful, and glorious, for you, and all whom you know.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you:
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.      Numbers 6:24
